Ahead of the Singapore Ink Show, four female tattoo artists shared their experiences in an industry historically dominated by men. With over 160 international and local tattoo artists, the event signified Singapore’s evolving stance on tattoos – once seen as symbols of rebellion, they are now embraced as forms of expression and art.


John Vizzone.

John Vizzone, the creative director of Cifonelli, embodies strength in design and sensitivity in character. Renowned for his masculine, tailored collections, Vizzone reveals a softer side, sharing, “I can’t watch movies where people are getting hurt”.

Vizzone showcased Cifonelli’s Fall/Winter 2017 collection at Madison Rooms, featuring personal designs focused on comfort and fit.

The Singapore Song Writing Festival aims to nurture emerging Chinese songwriting talent. Songwriters can showcase their work, with select participants attending expert-led masterclasses. Prizes include cash awards up to $2,000, a one-year KKBOX subscription, and a trip to the KKBOX Music Awards in Taipei for the Best Song winner.

SSF 2017

The Singapore Street Festival celebrates youth creativity through arts, music, and sports. In 2017, highlights included urban street football, breakdancing competitions judged by renowned dancer Hong10, and a Japanese cultural D’J Party.

The theme, “Unchartered,” encouraged young participants to explore new experiences and chart their future ahead as artists and performers.
