Joining Randstad as a fresh graduate marked the beginning of my public relations career. Today, I work with both internal and external audiences, navigating events, stakeholder relationships and in-house content creation.
My typical day looks like: managing content strategy and development, building strong media relationships, and writing compelling narratives about workforce data and key industry trends.
2020 – 2021 / ogilvy
After graduating with a diploma in Mass Communications, I joined the IBM team at Ogilvy, where I worked on media across different formats including print, TVCs, social media, webpages and advertisement scripts.
The learning curve was steep, this being my first foray into tech writing for B2B services, but it was extremely fulfilling. Through creating for the IBM suite of AI and cloud tools, I learnt to speak a compelling new language through art and copy.
2017 / the straits times
In my final year pursuing a Mass Communications diploma, I interned at Singapore’s flagship newspaper. I managed five columns focused on fashion and design, while crafting profiles and features on arts, travel, entertainment, and interior design.
My favourite story I’ve written is a profile on female tattoo artists in Singapore. This article marked my first experience of pitching a story that I felt truly passionate about, marking a personal milestone.
